Barnacle Systems – Always onboard!
Brandon Wright founded Barnacle Systems in January 2017 after his own sailboat broke moorage in a storm and washed ashore. Once the boat, SV Inconceivable, had been salvaged, the foundations were laid for a system that would make it easier to monitor the boat and its condition, no matter where you were.
The result was the BRNKL 5G, the device monitors the boat's position, temperature, air pressure and humidity. It also keeps track of the boat's batteries, impact and tilt.
BRNKL 5G can also be expanded with high water sensors, shore power sensor, door contacts, sirens and cameras.

Capture images from your boat, on demand or automatically when a door is opened, motion is detected or from other events with wired or wireless accessories.
Monitor up to 4 batteries, shore power, bilge pump and external sensors. Additional built-in sensors include temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, pitch, roll and impact.

Record and watch live videos with the cameras you already have on your boat. Connect to a variety of camera brands such as Garmin, Axis, Hikvision and more. Combine these cameras with security devices to create your custom surveillance system, so you never miss a moment on or off the water.
Connect a variety of sensors, including NMEA 2000 devices and wireless security sensors, to get real-time updates on what's happening. Make sure your engines, power systems and other components are working as expected. Integrate digital switching platforms to remotely control on-board devices.
Use the BRNKL app to see live video, know where your boat is going, how fast it's moving and how the engine is performing. Use your smartphone or any web browser to stay in touch with your boat from anywhere. Use your existing on-board communication system, such as Starlink, to access data from anywhere.
With a free cloud storage plan, you can review recent activity online and locally store up to 4 TB of data. In other words, there is no need for a monthly subscription.

See the boat's position with the support of GPS, Galileo and Glonass.
Draw Geofence areas and be notified if the boat moves outside these. Go back in history and see different routes made.
Keep track of batteries, water level monitors, humidity, temperature and bilge pumps. The app also shows the boat's tilt, roll and whether the boat is exposed to shocks, for example when the mooring is too tight or too loose.
